Diwali is one of the most exciting festivals in our country. Out of which this year it is more awaited as the past 2 years we found a way out for the deadly virus Corona. This year we tend to control the spread of Coronavirus and through an awareness program, we achieved a high rate of vaccination in our town and in the wide range in our state. To express good health, happiness, joy, safety, and prosperity we planned to celebrate Diwali with elderly people who are strong optimists during our hard times. At Rojavanam Orphanage, on 31st October 2021 evening, as we planned we utilized the opportunity to spend some quality time with the elderly people.

We started the Diwali celebration by distributing sweets, snacks, and refreshments to the elderly people to create a bond. Further, we initiated the entertainment program which includes dance, singing songs, acting, playing small fun games and an interactive session get to mingle with the people and the ambiance. The elderly people have amused us by volunteering participation. Along with the activities we planned for dress distribution for the members of that orphanage. They were enlightened with happiness and shared their gratitude with nice laughs and smiles, that is the real content feel that we got.

And yes, here comes the awaited Diwali moment, bursting of fireworks in a safe and unharmful manner by helping the members of the orphanage. Everyone out there enjoyed the entire evening with much more joy. It wouldn’t be made possible without the good intentions of the members, volunteers, guests,s and especially the sponsors. And we would also thank each and every soul out there who trusted us and lead us on the path of happiness through fellow people’s smiles and laughs.

This is a combined effort made by each one of us. Let us spread happiness and goodness through our good deeds. We welcome you and hope with our joint hands we will make many future events.
