Zero Hunger mission 1.0

During the first wave of COVID-19 pandemic, Karuvarai trust initiated its Zero hunger mission. From March 25, 2020 to April 14, 2020, we provided around 5000 food parcels to front line workers, street dwellers and poor people who were in need.

We also provided food to children at Cancer ward in Madurai GH, and few Homes in Madurai.
Along with this, we also provided groceries packages to families below poverty line and daily wagers families.

Zero Hunger mission 2.0

Zero Hunger mission 2.0 was started on 10 May 2021 with the lockdown due to second wave of COVID-19. We provided around 6000 food parcels during this lockdown to people in need, corporation labourers and police officers in duty. We also provided food to patients admitted at Madurai GH and many Movie affected families. We have also provided Groceries package to 200 different families in this stint.

Day 01 — 16. 01. 2022

As said, we have started our food distribution today. We made food for around 200 people, and provided food to many street dwellers and front line workers including policemen and corporation workers. Thanks to all our supporters and sponsors who helped us. Thank you so much. We are in need of more funds to continue this mission. Please help us in all possible ways. Take care. Day 02 — 23. 01. 2022

Today we made food for around 250 people. Food parcels were given to street dwellers and front line workers including policemen and corporation workers.
